Ascension is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As an RN Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care within the Cardiology Department. Your role will involve applying specialized knowledge and skills to assist individuals who are experiencing changes in their health processes or require assistance in the maintenance of health and management of illness, injury, or disability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to identify mutual goals and nursing care plans.
• Diagnose, treat, and evaluate the human response to health problems/needs.
• Monitor and prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
• Communicate patient condition and response to nursing interventions to physicians.
• Delegate tasks to other care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Previous pre and post-procedure RN experience preferred.
• Cardiac experience preferred.
