As an RN in the Psychiatric Nursing Unit at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, you will provide professional nursing care to individuals experiencing changes in normal health processes or who require assistance in the maintenance of health. Utilizing your specialized knowledge and skill, you will ensure quality patient care and promote health and wellness. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish mutual goals based on nursing assessment and diagnosis
- Diagnose, treat, and evaluate the human response to health problems/needs
- Evaluate outcomes of the nursing plan of care and make revisions accordingly
- Assess, monitor, and prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans
- Implement physician's orders using nursing judgment and coordinate care with other providers
- Notify physicians of patient conditions and responses to nursing interventions
Requirements
- Valid BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Finger Printing obtained prior to hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) or RN Diploma at start date
