Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the GI Endoscopy department, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager and utilize evidence-based practices to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments
- Assisting with procedures and examinations
- Educating patients and their families
To be successful in this role, you should have strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care. Additionally, you should hold a valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a school of nursing
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program
- License and Certification: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: BSN or MSN
- Experience: 2 or more years of experience in GI Endoscopy
- Certification: Certification in GI Endoscopy
