Hennepin County is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a key role in performing mammogram screenings, general radiology exams, bone density testing, and EKGs. As a Radiology Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, providing essential diagnostic services to a wide range of patients in our community. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general radiography, screening mammography, EKGs, bone density testing, and ankle brachial index (ABI) exams
  • Ensure correct anatomic positioning and exposure factors for exams
  • Accurately enter data into computer systems
  • Manage images via PACS for continuing care
  • Assist with managing forms for enrolled guests
  • Troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment
  • Utilize the AAA principals in daily interactions

Requirements:

  • Completion of a two-year American Medical Association approved course in radiologic technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Mammography certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Experience with EKGs, ABI exams, and bone density testing preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic Electronic Health Records system
  • Knowledge of the MN Department of Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (Sage)
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Hmong a plus
