Summary: Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director of Skilled Nursing to oversee our skilled rehabilitation unit. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, directing, and supervising all aspects of the program to ensure the highest quality of care. You will collaborate with various departments, manage staffing and scheduling, and maintain open communication with key stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  • Organize, develop, direct, and supervise all aspects of the skilled nursing program
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines
  • Maintain effective interdepartmental relationships through good communication skills
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling to provide adequate coverage for patient services
  • Serve as a representative of the program in hospital meetings
  • Prepare and monitor financial and budgeting concerns for the program
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Therapy Operations
  • Help create an environment and culture that aligns with the hospital's mission
  • Measure, assess, and continuously improve the department's performance

Qualifications:

  • Valid license or certification required by state requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; additional training with a Master's or Doctor's degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of healthcare experience with at least two years in management
  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds
