Responsibilities

• Control, monitor, and dispense medications to patients according to department procedures and protocols
• Supervise medication preparation by pharmacy technicians
• Advise nursing personnel on appropriate medication administration
• Promote the rational use of medications by providing drug information and clinical monitoring services

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. PharmD strongly preferred
• Experience: Prior hospital pharmacy experience
• License and Certification: Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or eligible to receive licensure within 45 days
