• Sign-on bonus: $15,000
• Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Schedule: Full-time Nights, 3 12s - Sunday - Tuesday, 6:30pm - 7am
• Hospital: Dell Children's Medical Center
• Location: Austin, Texas

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent for review.
• Maintain equipment and report potential problems or malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department.

Requirements:

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
    • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.
• Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
