- Sign-on bonus: $15,000
- Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Schedule: Full-time Nights, 3 12s - Sunday - Tuesday, 6:30pm - 7am
- Hospital: Dell Children's Medical Center
- Location: Austin, Texas
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent for review.
- Maintain equipment and report potential problems or malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department.
Requirements:
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following required:
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.
- Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
