Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Graduate Nurse (GN, RN) for the Medical Telemetry/Stroke unit. This is a part-time position with a varied schedule. • Standard Hours: 24
• Job Shift: Night Shift (7pm-7am)
• Shift Details: Graduate Nurse, acute care inpatient med/tele/stroke unit
• Every 3rd weekend rotation

As a registered nurse in the Medical Telemetry/Stroke unit, you will work alongside a skilled interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care. Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, you will utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients and their families.

The Telemetry/Stroke unit consists of 28 private rooms and is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Our staff includes Registered Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Administrative Support Staff. We provide 24/7 physician coverage and utilize cutting-edge technology, including Tele-neurology and Electronic Medical Records. Join us and be part of a diverse and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize nursing process to develop individualized care plans
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Provide patient and family education
• Document and maintain accurate medical records

Requirements:

• Education: ASN/BSN
