  • Job Shift: Shift 1 (Monday-Friday: 9:30am-6:00pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client care through individual, couple, group, and family therapy tailored to each client's needs.
  • Prepare accurate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and plan care by evaluating psychiatric and psychosocial needs, organizing and prioritizing treatment, and advocating for appropriate resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients and families in various settings both within our system and the community.
  • Educate clients and their families, referring them to support groups and additional resources for maximum care and recovery.
  • Collaborate effectively across programs to deliver integrated healthcare for clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Negotiate level of care and length of stay with managed care companies while continuously re-evaluating client's needs.
  • Work as part of a team along the continuum of care, participating in meetings, clinical supervision, and staff education.
  • Take responsibility for self-improvement by identifying learning needs and seeking resources.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required (must obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Previous intern experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual/group therapy.
  • Valid CT Licensed Masters of Social Work required within 90 days of graduation (LMSW).
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and basic keyboarding skills.
  • Flexibility in schedule according to program needs, including evenings, weekends, and travel between sites.
